Village at War

Stoke Bruerne is a small village 8 miles south-west of Northampton and 60 miles from Birmingham (mostly motorways). It is centred around the Grand Union canal and has a canal museum. The canalside is very picturesque and every year in September the village stages a historic event where locals and others dress in the style of the 2nd world war era 1939-45. Next year’s event is to be held on 13-15 September.
Below are some photos I took last Saturday of the characters there – you might recognise one or two people.
