Magic Lantern Festival 2018

The Botanical Gardens in Edgbaston is again hosting the Chinese Magic Lantern Festival with all new lanterns.

This is an after-dark visual experience much loved by both children and grown ups. The lanterns are life-sized at least and highly colourful.

There’s lots of different food stalls along the path through the lanterns as well as a Chinese store  with animal toys and Chinese decorations.

The festival runs until the 1st of January and you need to book a date and time in advance via the Botanical Gardens website.

Below is a gallery of photos I took last Sunday, 9th December.
