Birmingham Pride Parade Photos 2018

This is now surely the most joyous of festivals to hit the Birmingham folk during the year.

The turnout was huge to watch the seemingly endless procession of merrily adorned floats and colourfully and characterfully dressed walking groups.

The unbelievably never-ending procession starting in Victoria Square passed finally along Smallbrook Queensway, where I stood with my camera in awe of its gleeful, almost volcanic, magnitude.

There was never a dull moment, never a lack of spectacle to behold, never a drop in the infectious energetic excitement of the people parading.

Later I wandered around the city centre away from the final assembly of the festive throng and onlookers in the Chinese Quarter. The light rain of the late morning subsided and the sun shone for the rest of the day 😀.

The whole city centre seemed to have been infected with joie de vivre, it was a truly festive city! A joy to behold!

I had my camera focused on the whole parade in Smallbrook Queensway.
