Birmingham Connected – “In partnership with Transport for West Midlands and Midland Metro Alliance, we are currently consulting on a number of changes to road layouts, mostly to improve access for public transport. We encourage you to view the proposals and have your say.”
The above statement and the information below have now been supplied by Birmingham Connected for sharing as appropriate .
This enlarges on and adds to the information I supplied in my 3 March post:
Birmingham Connected information:
In the city centre, we are proposing changes to:
· Sheepcote Street
· Paradise Queensway/Great Charles Street/Margaret Street
· Islington Row Middleway/George Road/Bath Row
· Bath Row/Holloway Head
In Edgbaston, we are proposing:
A bus lane on Harborne Road towards the city centre, between Kingscote Road and Highfield Road, to operate in the morning peak (7am to 10am Monday to Saturday).
Both consultations close on 21 March 2018.
These are informal, non-statutory consultations.
IMPORTANT to Note:
The Harborne Road bus lane and schemes on Bath Row/Holloway Head and Paradise Circus/Great Charles Street Queensway/Margaret Street are trials and will be implemented under experimental Traffic Regulation Orders.
This means that you can continue to comment on them at any time during the first 6 months of operation by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Sheepcote Street and Islington Row Middleway/George Road/Bath Row schemes will be subject to a statutory period of consultation on the Traffic Regulation Order later in the year, before they can be implemented.
