A More Positive View of Today’s City Centre Developments

Wandering around the city centre it would seem that demolition for future highly desirable reconstruction is all happening at once and now!

Well, as funding is obtained it makes sense that  multiple contractors do their jobs in parallel-time if possible. This will reduce the overall period of rebuilding the city centre.

Notwithstanding this, the end result should be very well worth it for city centre residents, further afield visitors and an increased incentive to invest by UK and foreign companies.

So, for the moment let’s photographically record the low, post demolition, starting point. Later photos can then show what great things have been achieved.

The photo journey below starts at the junction of Stephenson Street and Pinfold Street where the new Metro Extension will start. It then follows the red line on the map below.

Then it doubles back and starts again at the Museum Entrance then follows the green line.
