A Local City Event You’ll Not Want to Miss

Build up your appetite for lunch on the Saturday after Easter with  our local Councillor and Lord Mayor, Carl Rice, talking about how he spent his year in office – with plenty of anecdotes, I’m sure!

Carl has been a helpful and energetic friend of King Edwards Wharf since I moved in during 2002.

We worked together in getting the two crossings in Sheepcote Street which have saved it and us from being a raceway rabbit run.
He, and fellow Cllr Kath Hartley, continued to work for KEW with Cllr Sir Albert Bore, long-term Leader of the Council .
His help continues to this day.

In his spare time he is a keen hill walker and a ‘Munro Bagger’, someone who aims to climb all 282 Munro mountains of Scotland. At the start of his mayoral office Carl had reached the summit of 211 !!

I for one am looking forward to hearing of his experiences in his year of office.

Why not come along and join in the social fun? …

…It’s being held just round the corner and likely to be just a few local people like yourself attending.

The event is being run by our Council sponsored  City Centre Neighbourhood Forum and their invitation flyer is shown below.
