Magic Lantern Festival Photos

img_9550The Botanical Gardens in Edgbaston is the venue for the display of coloured lanterns. Read on to view some photos taken last Friday.

The lanterns were made by artists in China, are 3 dimensional and in some cases stand several meters high. They are set along paths forming a trail around the gardens from which visitors get superb views of them.

Smartphone cameras were much in use especially for framing people’s children against a background of lanterns
